Three Tibetan students studying
in Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) School Selakui, Dehradun and a teacher were
selected for the first ever Asia-Pacific Schools Initiative (APSI) community. Nyima Tenzin,
Tenzin Tselha and Tsering Dhondup are the student participant and Mr. Lhakpa
Wangyal (PGT Biology) is a teacher participating in the program. They are
representing Tibet and Tibetan Schools in the program. Students and teachers
from other countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Nepal,
Thailand, and UAE are also participating in the program.

The programme is taking place at Jhalawar,
Rajasthan, India and few days at International Youth Center (Vishwa Yuva Kendra),
Chanakyapura, Delhi from March 15 to March 31, 2017. This training is generously
supported by New Delhi-based Pallavan Learning Systems managed by Usha Nath
Kapur foundation, which is a family foundation of Mr Arun Kapur. He is
presently Director of Vasant Valley School Delhi and Ritinjali. He has over 35
years of experience in educational institutes like The Doon School, Dehradun; British
School, New Delhi and Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. He is founder of Vasant
Valley School, Ritinjali, Pallavan, and Pallavanjali. He is the author of
Transforming Schools: Empowering Children.

The Asia-Pacific Schools
Initiative is an educational programme organised by the Centre for Escalation
of Peace (CEP). The programme is designed both for school students &
teachers with aim of creating a network of future leaders by developing and
nurturing the participants to acquire leadership skills through Serene Strength.
This educational platform is supposed to create a positive change in participants
as well as in the local and global scenario by their leadership.
