Experiential learning at kota mines, story time and reflection

Visit to Kota Mines
We sit quiet for few minutes to introspect ourselves
Let me meditate before sun rises
With fifteen minutes of meditation and breakfast, we started journey to the Kota mines at around 9:00 am. It took almost an hour to reach the destination. We spent half an hour learning about the mining site. There are wonderful things happening at the site. We learnt the Kota stones are exported to other countries in due reason of its quality. Kota stones are considered having cooling effect if these are used for flooring. Moreover, Kota stone flooring shines more if mopped more.

We had fifteen minutes sight seeing stop on the top of mining area. It's amazing to see Ahu river flowing around the  mining area.

Kavad; an art of story telling in Malwar, Rajasthan

Afternoon session was taken by Ridhi at around 2:00 pm. She discussed about story telling in general and Kavad story telling in detail. A documentary video about Kavad story telling was also shown which was followed by an hour crafting of Kavad story telling aid using coloured paper, about the the theme 'Your journey of life till now'.

A session on road 
map and reflection
A session on road map was taken by Ms. Tripti and Mr. Tsering Nidup for an hour. This was followed by group discussion about framing a road map sample for a project. With a tea break, the session was ended by joining Frisbee session for students and  an hour of reflection session for the teachers. The day's programme was ended by having a gathering of participants together for discussion on day's reflection questions. With an appreciation for all the participants, Dr. Saroj Thapa suggested us to  applaud for all the participants for making the day special.
